It’s back and it’s in its best format, the traditional two tribes of eight. What was untraditional was that they traveled through civilization to start the game, kind of like Pearl Islands. They also started the game without the pre-chosen game wardrobe just like Pearl Islands. But that just adds to the great start.
Right From The beginning Courtney’s New York City attitude stood out to me. I expect it to hurt her in the game but it’s going to make her entertaining to watch while she’s there.
So the tribes are divided and head for their respective camp sites. In my season, Cook Islands, each tribe did a great job of making a shelter. Here in China, neither tribe did an adequate job of making a shelter. As a result both tribes suffered their fist night. Chicken tried to use his expertise at first and then elected to back off and not be a leader. This decision would have a big impact later. Interestingly, the pro poker player, Jean-Robert called out Todd about being quicker and smarter. I like Todd, it’s was such a tease to see that he plans to do something about being called out but not actually seeing him do something.
The Pro Wrestler Ashley got real sick. Hey Ashley, at least they showed you getting sick to explain your lack of work. Even though I puked all over my Island my sickness got edited out. I think the producers like you more than me. In all fairness to Ashley, in every Survivor, it’s always a big part of the game to see who physically adapts faster. It is a shock to the player’s system and don’t get me started on what this does to our metabolisms. Yikes! Ha ha ha.
Ok so at the first challenge it was a dragon dance maze thingy. Frosti insisted that his ability to acrobatically go over obstacles would lead them to victory. Well he got beat by a grave digger. It seems like team work decided this challenge, so off to tribal council he and his tribes mate went. Peih-Gee went off about the lack of leadership and the inability to make a shelter. Chicken admitted he backed off the leadership role and Ashley admitted that she did the least amount of work. It looked like it was either Ashley or Chicken. Well Ashley ducked a clothesline and Chicken got nailed instead. Chicken was the first boot of Survivor China. Chicken’s reaction nearly made his tribe jump out of their shoes! Ha ha ha. That was the highlight of the night.
Next time on Survivor:
Wrestling! This will give Ashley a fighting chance. Even sick I expect her to dominate.
In Control: Eric and Dave on Zhan Hu and Aaron and Jean-Robert in Fei Long.
In Peril: Ashley on Zhan Hu and Leslie and Courtney on Fei Long.
Out of left field prediction: Todd and Jean-Robert will put their initial differences aside and form a formidable alliance.

I didn't realize you were sick when you were on Survivor..damn editing. The New York attitude will be Courtney's undoing if you ask me  Thanks for the great blog Billy!!

Thanks Billy!! I'm enjoying this season and love your blogs. I didn't like Courtney at all the first couple of episodes but she is growing on me now.
